Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa

The views were breathtaking, and the hotel was absolutely stunning and spotless. The staff were lovely and nothing seemed too much trouble. Food was plentiful, with amazing ice cream and cakes, though they could cater a bit more for English guests. The beds were comfortable but tended to slide apart, and the pillows felt like clouds. We had a wonderful 10 nights at Secrets. I'd come back a million percent. I don't usually write reviews, but this hotel deserves one. 10/10.

The fish tanks were lovely, and the food was really good, best of the Dreams hotels I've tried. The pizza was amazing, and room service was top notch. Drinks were a bit limited, but better quality than at other Dreams and Secrets resorts. The pool was absolutely freezing, and I wish they'd heated it for the cooler months. We skipped swimming, so the seagulls got more use of the pools. I was really looking forward to a swim. I was also surprised by the disposable plastic cups and straws, since other Dreams and Secrets resorts use reusable plastic cups that they wash. The Dreams hotel next door was really messy, with plastic cups everywhere, some going into the sea and rolling toward Secrets. It shocked me, because the sea is so beautiful here and they don't seem to care. On a day when the weather was bad, there was no sign of the entertainment staff. At other resorts they run games and activities to get everyone involved, so the day dragged. Some music around the pool would be nice too.

The location works well, toward the quieter end of Sunny Beach near Sveti Vlas, with historic Nessebar just a bus ride away. Hotel facilities were excellent, and the bar and restaurant staff were impeccable. Everyone helped out through both lovely weather and stormy days. Highly recommended, and thanks to all the staff for a great stay.

The beds were comfortable, the staff lovely, and room service was available. The fridge was stocked daily, and there was plenty of good food to choose from. It's an adults-only hotel in a very good location. Just be aware that late September is nearly the end of the season: lots of shops are closing or already shut, and trips are unavailable or offered on fewer days, especially when the weather isn't good. I'd recommend the hotel and the area.
