Sunny Day Club Hotel

The breakfast setup was a letdown: clean plates and utensils were often in short supply, and the ones we found could be wet or dirty. Coffee was scarce, and the glasses were cheap plastic. The advertised waterslide only ran after we complained repeatedly, while the hard plastic sunbeds were uncomfortable and made relaxing difficult. Our first room was in awful condition, with a strong cigarette smell, water damage and mold in the bathroom, and floors that stayed wet and slippery. It seemed poorly maintained. Staff ignored repeated requests to fix things until we threatened to report them. We spent two days in that room before being moved. Towels weren’t fresh, beds were badly made, and poor drainage often left the bathroom floor flooded, making the room uncomfortable and potentially hazardous. The younger staff were kind and polite, but older staff were rude and dismissive, especially the red-haired woman at reception. She often shouted at staff in front of guests, which made the atmosphere hostile and the stay even more unpleasant. Sunny Club Hotel doesn’t live up to its three-star rating. I’d urge anyone considering it to look elsewhere for a more pleasant and safe stay.

The staff were very dismissive, yet seemed to expect tips despite the lack of customer service. The restaurant food was poor and there wasn’t much choice. Our room was fine, though a little dated. There was no WiFi, despite being told it was free. The hotel is near the beach but a fair way from the main area. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

Breakfast was a real plus, with lots of sweet and savory options, plenty of variety each day, and no problems with the food quality. The room itself was clean and generally fine, if a bit dated, apart from a couple of issues. The route from reception went through the pool area, where the floor was always wet, so I nearly slipped several times. We also occasionally lost water pressure in the room. It would come back on its own after 2-3 hours, but I don’t know what was going on. The staff were okay overall. The younger receptionists and waiters were nicer, while the older ones seemed grumpier, though that may be common in eastern Europe. The cleaning ladies were surprisingly nice!

The beach is only a five-minute walk away, and we had a lovely week here. We’ll definitely return. Our spacious one-bedroom apartment on the 4th floor had lovely views. Reception staff were friendly and helpful with questions, and the cleaning ladies were lovely. They changed towels daily, changed the sheets once during our stay, and vacuumed and washed the floors every day. Breakfast had a good variety and there was always something to eat. The pool felt a bit cold at first, but was great once we got in. The WiFi could be better. We were given two passcodes, one for the room and another for the pool and grounds.
