Hotel Arlanda

The owner is very friendly, and the setting is peaceful. The hotel is about 500 meters from the beach, which is a big plus for quiet. There’s also a beautiful forest about 100 meters away, with a walking path and a great view. A lovely place for a family break.

We were completely happy with our holiday and would like to come back. It was our first trip to Bulgaria, and we picked the hotel for the price despite there being few reviews. We travelled with our little daughter, who turned one while we were there, and they did a great job organizing her birthday. The food was varied, fresh and European, without strong spices. The grounds were neat, clean and fenced, so it was quiet. There’s a spacious children’s playground with swings, a slide and a little house. I also went to the very good gym every evening. The pool is large, clean and warm. The rooms were quite normal, with air conditioning and refrigerators. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the municipal beach, where sunbeds and umbrellas cost 8 leva. We managed fine without them. The beach is clean, the sand is sifted every evening, and the sea gets deep very gradually. St. Vlas is suited to families with children or people who like peace and quiet. There are small cafes and shops, but no late-night noise or parties. For that, you have to go to Sunny Beach, a 20-25 minute bus ride away. We also went on a yacht and really enjoyed it, and the trip to Old Nessebar was great too, about 45 minutes by bus.

The air is clean, the mountains are nearby, and the food is delicious. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the sea. A lovely holiday spot for families with children or young couples after a romantic break.

The current owners are from Odessa, and since we happened to be from the same town, we spent a long time drinking and chatting. It’s a pleasant hotel, and they’re accommodating. We can always talk things through and sort out any issue.
