Hotel Diveda

The accommodation was bad, really very bad.

I’d call this a hotel of horrors. The rooms were small and filthy, with old furniture. Everything was battered, the electrical sockets were pulled out, and the air conditioner rattled. The bathroom fan sounded like a helicopter. The bathroom itself was tiny, with nowhere to hang our towels and no shelf for shampoo, so we had to leave it on the floor. The shower handle was broken, and there was a bad smell from the bathroom. I’d never stay at this hotel again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The claim that it’s quiet is some kind of myth. The guests were extremely noisy, and the host did nothing about it. There were no instructions or rules. The hotel was poorly maintained, and the conventional air conditioners rattled like a feed grinder. Their filters were dirty, and they barely cooled the rooms. One night there was no hot water either. All in all, it felt like the socialist era.

The hosts were friendly, the pool was clean, and cleanliness was about 9/10. It’s pet-friendly, with no fee. We were allowed in before check-in, and the air conditioning was already on in the room, which was a pleasant surprise since we’d expected less. The hotel isn’t fancy, but the value for money is okay. It’s centrally located and close to the beach.
