The staff were warm and ready to help, and we had no trouble communicating in English despite what earlier reviews said. Our room was kept clean, with the cleaners coming daily. The bathroom was quite small but had everything needed, and the food was good too. Breakfast brought something different each day; dinner was similar from night to night, but prepared with enough variety to stay interesting. The pool had plenty of places to sit. Getting to the hotel means climbing a flight of stairs, which could be difficult for some people. It's also right beside a busy road, so care is needed during the day. At night, though, we couldn't hear any traffic, even from the lowest level. For this price range, it was a very good hotel.

We were happy with our stay at Hotel Julia. It worked well as a base for the beach and for trips to nearby cities, though for more cultural activities we had to go elsewhere. The small beaches are about a 10-minute walk away, and the bus stop beside the hotel has rides to Nessebar that take roughly 40 minutes. There’s a large supermarket, a bakery and a few restaurants nearby, but not many other shops. The pool area is clean, pretty and private, with greenery and plenty of loungers. There’s also a gym, pool table, mini soccer and a restaurant with a TV where we watched the Euros. We especially enjoyed the minced meat and shopska salad. The rooms had comfortable beds, air conditioning and a fridge. There are only three outlets, so a power strip could help if you bring lots of electronics. Housekeeping came every day and towels were changed every two days. In the heat, we sometimes noticed a smell from the drain, but airing the room helped. We liked having a balcony for evening conversations. The hotel is beside a busy road, but the windows kept the nighttime noise out and daytime noise wasn’t too bad. As far as I know, there’s no wheelchair access. Staff, including the manager and receptionist, were lovely and quick to help, and English worked well for communication. A great stay, and thanks for the service.

We had a great 10-night stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, the pool area was lovely, and the food was very good. The staff were polite, and I'd definitely recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of staying here.

We had a corner room on the third floor, with sea and pool views from a large balcony. It was clean and attractive, and the hotel was quiet in the evenings and at night. There’s a gas station and car wash nearby, but their sounds didn’t bother us. The grounds have two pools with sunbeds, plus a small playground for children. The shortest route to the sea takes around 10 minutes, and the large Mercury supermarket is also fairly close, with almost everything you might need. Breakfast was simple and tasty, with the usual mix of baked goods, eggs, pasta, sausages, tomatoes, cucumbers, one kind of fruit, tea and coffee. It’s a small, comfortable hotel with welcoming staff. Tedi at the restaurant was especially kind, friendly and always smiling. We had a great stay at Julia and might come back someday.
