New Line Village Apartments

The outdoor pool was the best part for us: lovely, clean, quiet, and relaxing. The inside of New Line Apartments was a different experience. Although the exterior seemed decent and the price was reasonable, our room felt old and dirty, with worn bedding, dusty surfaces, and mold in the bathroom. Even basic things like toilet paper and a pen weren't provided. We were told it was either too late or the place wasn't open yet. Deni greeted us politely and warmly, but Vilhem, the owner or manager, came across as arrogant and unhelpful. That made the stay less pleasant, and the management experience didn't live up to the pool.

We enjoyed staying here. The host was kind, and the apartment was a good size for four people at a reasonable price. The little terraces were nice for morning coffee, and the pool was a pleasant spot to unwind before or after going to the beach.

We felt so uncomfortable here that we left three days before the end of our paid stay. The place was disgusting, and the room was dirty and smelly. The booking photos had clearly been set up and heavily filtered. There was no internet at all, so in bad weather you were left sitting there with nothing to do. I also felt unsafe. There were rules about everything, and we rushed out of the apartment each morning. After our 14-hour drive with our baby, we arrived at the fully paid accommodation and were asked to sign a deposit paper and hand over €50 or 100 lev in cash for the key. We had no cash and wanted to pay by card, which wasn't accepted, so my husband had to run to an ATM while we stood at reception. Nobody offered us even a glass of water, and the welcome was very unfriendly. While waiting, I asked for a drink at the bar. They said the card limit was 5 lev, so I ordered two drinks, and the woman laughed sarcastically. The next day at the pool, staff watched where we sat and what we did. Two tables stayed reserved all the time, apparently for the boss. When I brought some fruit for my baby, the boss came over and said we couldn't eat it. After that, the staff were very rude and ruined our holiday. There was no proper room cleaning either. A woman came to collect rubbish, so I handed over the rubbish and two empty bottles. She rudely told me not to give her any more. I also moved a table and chair from the balcony to in front of the main door, just to sit a bit and use the internet. The next day they took them away. When I told reception we needed them back, she said no, they had to stay on the balcony.

The bed linen even had holes, and when I mentioned it, the reply was that I'd never stayed there. What? The apartment also had several things that didn't work. Water leaked from the air conditioner, the bathroom drain was clogged, and the electric kettle only warmed the water without boiling it. I spent hours complaining to the staff to get anything sorted. Instead of fixing things, which would have taken about 5-10 minutes, they told me to catch the air conditioner water in a saucepan, unclog the drain myself, and insisted that electric kettles don't boil water in the EU. Eventually they cleaned the air conditioner and cleared the bathroom drain, but they never provided a new kettle. Maybe you'll have better luck, but if something breaks, be prepared to spend hours chasing the property staff. The manager seems unfamiliar with customer service.
