The restaurant staff were receptive and nice, and the food was normal. But the hotel staff didn’t seem to care about anything. The place is listed as three stars on travel sites, though it feels like two, and it shares a reception with a nearby two-star hotel. A pile of rubbish greets you at the entrance, and the “restaurant” is a tent out front. It’s on the hills, and the “lift” can take you to the beach, but the operators decide when its last run is, maybe 17.30, 18.00 or 19.00. You never know. Miss it and getting back to the hotel is a long walk, about 30 minutes by the bushes. We asked after two days for fresh towels, but nobody did anything, and the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our four days. The free parking is across the road in a dirty yard, though people park on the street because it feels safer. All inclusive seems to mean very little here, just draft beer and some sodas. A big no for this place.

The building’s style, architecture and flair were exceptional, and every time we went inside the air felt fresh and clean. We stayed six nights and enjoyed every moment. The food was phenomenal, cleaning was done on time, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The administrator seemed to know the answer to everything. Taking the electric chair was a fun extra.

The building and rooms are very nice, but the location is bad and the roads are in poor shape. Services were bad too, and only the reception spoke a language other than Bulgarian. Parking was a problem, with unannounced charges for the room bar and damages. The reception, pool, spa and dining room, which was very poor, are in another building, Hotel Bona Vista.

I love the beautiful view of the sea and the spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. The architecture is gorgeous, Phoenician style, I think.
