Grifid Hotel Metropol - Premium All Inclusive

The rooftop at the neighboring GRIFID Vistamar was a bright spot. We had a lovely meal there and the atmosphere and food made a much stronger impression. At GRIFID Metropol Hotel, where I spent seven nights, the rooms were spacious and the bathrooms generous, and the hotel had good facilities overall. The pool and sun loungers were excellent for relaxing. Breakfast had lots of options, although the steamed bacon wasn’t prepared to European standards. The themed dinners didn’t deliver on their culinary promises. The Fusion nine-course meal looked like a gourmet experience but lacked flavor and execution. Brazilian night didn’t feel much like Brazilian food, and might have worked better as Bulgarian barbecue. Italian night didn’t represent its cuisine well, either. I tried to give feedback to the guest agent, but the response felt somewhat dismissive, which was disappointing given the potential value of constructive input. The stay was generally good, with strong accommodation and amenities. Some changes, especially to the food, could help the hotel reach its potential for a memorable stay.

The Metropol sits in the northern part of the gold sands, a quieter area that’s still an easy short walk from all the town’s activities. The room I was given was a good size, nicely proportioned, and had an amazing sea view. I also enjoyed the restaurants and bars, with a wide variety of quality food and drinks included in my all-inclusive booking. The staff were friendly and thoughtful, and did a great job seeing to our needs despite it being a busy weekend. I had a very nice long 1st of May weekend here and would strongly recommend it to couples or solo travellers looking for quality time by the Black Sea. Anytime again!

The themed dinners were a lovely extra, and we really liked the food and its good variety. The beach and pool were great too. What made the week especially relaxing was how friendly and helpful everyone was, from reception and housekeeping to the waiters. We enjoyed the rest, food and drinks, with no noisy children around, except for the occasional noise from the neighboring hotel. We think this place deserves five stars and would happily return. The food ordering setup is a clever, convenient idea, and it means food isn’t left to go to waste. The dishes looked lovely and tasted great. Our room was spacious and clean, and the hotel itself was very clean too. One drawback: rooms on one side face another hotel, so guests there can see into the rooms. The staff deserve five stars, especially Nikoleta, Hristhyan, and Nicole at reception, plus Andika, Inessa, and Rai at the hotel bar. The food and beverage manager also stood out. I had a really good, relaxing holiday.
