Hotel Bonita Beach

The room was fine and the view was awesome, and the hotel was in a good location. Even so, my sister and I both vomited during the night after eating the food here. We were all inclusive and hadn’t eaten anywhere else. I’d tell people to pick somewhere else unless they want to spend the night confined to the bathroom, bringing up their last meal.

We spent two weeks here in June 2024 and had a pleasant holiday in the sun. Our room was nicely presented, with a large balcony overlooking the Black Sea. The hotel is a short walk from the beach, and the location was spot on. The neon sign on top of the Lighthouse Steakhouse opposite shone onto our balcony all night, and loud music from a nearby venue boomed into the room until midnight. Neither was the hotel’s fault. Breakfast was good in both quality and quantity, though dinner could be hit and miss. At Golden Sands resort we didn’t see any other British tourists, mostly Bulgarian, Romanian, and German visitors.

Being only three minutes from the beach was the one real upside. The food was average, though fine if you weren't expecting much. Our room smelled of sewage, the toilet was dirty and smelly, and spider webs were everywhere. When we asked for proper cleaning, all they did was leave toilet soap. They didn't change the towels, and I had to ask for the rubbish to be taken out and for toilet rolls. At checkout, they even tried to charge me for a towel we'd used, which was naturally dirty after three days.

The employees were very nice, and the food was okay, though there wasn't much variety. Getting back to our room could be a nightmare because the elevators sometimes took 10-15 minutes. The hotel is just a few meters from the beach, but parking is very limited, with only a few paid spaces. Cleaning service was poor, and we sometimes had to ask for towels or toilet paper. The pool is too small.
