Hotel Dana Palace Park

I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms aren’t clean, and the food is cold and bad. They may tow your car even if you’ve paid for their parking.

The A/C doesn’t work, and there’s a Russian camp for young people at the next pool. This place isn’t a holiday at all. It was horrible even back in the wild 90s, and nothing has changed since. The owners seem like bandits and use cheap staff from Romania, for example. The staff are okay, but have to do what the boss says, and get paid like people in the poorest African countries.

We got here at 1 am and were left on the street for three hours. At 2 am, reception said they were fully booked, then sent us to another Dana Park hotel around the corner. They said the same thing and told us to wait until 2 pm the next day. I got angry, and eventually he gave us a room key, but when we opened the door it was a storage room. We’d booked a double room for me and my wife, and after three hours we got a room with two single beds. I’m going to see the manager in the morning, if she turns up. The reception staff just shrug and don’t help. The first receptionist just laughed. It’s poorly managed and they definitely don’t make you feel welcome. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in all my travels. I’d advise people to avoid it.

There was enough food, but the service was bad. It’s a 15-minute walk to the beach.
