Prestige Grand Hotel and Aquapark

I had to leave early and find somewhere else to stay so I could recover. After only two days at the hotel, I became seriously ill with vomiting, nausea, and weakness. I ended up in hospital and was diagnosed with enterocolitis, which may have been caused by something I encountered at the hotel. The illness wrecked my trip. I'm sharing this to warn others. Cleanliness and hygiene need to be taken seriously, and that wasn't my experience here. I wouldn't recommend it.

The air conditioner was old and noisy, and it didn't cool the room properly. Also, there were plates of old food in the hallway just outside our door when we arrived. We asked staff to take them away four times, but they were still there more than 12 hours later. The hotel was a huge disappointment.

I'd avoid this place. The rooms have no sound insulation, so we could hear everything from the hallway and neighboring rooms, and ants were all over the outdoor areas. The facilities were dirty, the food was boring every day, and the entertainment was the same each night. Staff didn't speak Bulgarian or English well. There was no coffee in the rooms, service was poor, and the parking was far away. This didn't feel like a 4 star hotel at all, more like 1-2 stars. I wouldn't recommend it.

During our five days here with a one-year-old, even the supposed highlights were hard to find. Once we got warm rotisserie chicken at dinner and hot pancakes at breakfast. The rest of the food was cold soon after opening, oily or oversalted, with undercooked broccoli, raw cauliflower, fries over and over, and rice that seemed to come back each day. My baby, who normally eats anything, wouldn't touch it. The croissants were rock hard, the coffee tasted like burnt water, and the watered-down alcohol was barely drinkable. Snacks between meals were so bad I wouldn't give them to animals. The beach takes a long walk and a lot of stairs to reach. A stroller would make it feel like an extreme sport. Parking exists, but guests are sent 3-5 km away. The pool and even bike rentals close at 6 PM. Indoors, the pool was called heated, though at 25°C it seemed better suited to penguins. Our room was so dirty I wondered if anyone was cleaning it at all. The elevator wait could be 15 minutes, which became part of the daily routine. Staff seemed annoyed that we were there. If towel changes, soggy fries, and all the rest sound like your idea of a holiday, this may be your dream hotel. For me, the only all-inclusive part was the disappointment.
