The hotel has cats and dogs around, which some guests may like, but that should be stated in the listing because it could affect people with allergies. It’s an old, basic place with the typical “communist” look you see in many Bulgarian hotels. For €300 for seven high-season days, it was a fair deal. The staff were friendly even though they didn’t speak English, and we managed to communicate. Breakfast costs 10 leva per person. It wasn’t to my taste, but the hosts clearly put effort into it. Our room was a decent size and had a balcony, which was a big plus. It didn’t get too hot even without air conditioning. Daily cleaning was very thorough, although the cleaner tried to come in around 8-9 AM, which wasn’t great. The pillows were dirty under clean pillowcases, the bed frame was broken, and the shower pressure was so low it was hard to wash off after the beach. We also saw one cockroach, which might be normal for the climate. You get what you pay for, with a few flaws. It’s not for anyone seeking luxury, but could work if you’re after a cheap stay close to nature and the beach.

It’s a quiet, homey spot in a very good location, and the area has lots of cats. The rooms are alright for the price, though the furniture could use an update.

I was waiting for the killer. It felt like a horror hostel, and I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday. The place was dirty and expensive, and the people were very rude. Receptionists didn’t even say hello. Breakfast was ridiculous, they couldn’t make a cappuccino or caffelatte, and there was no parking. There were no mosquito nets on the windows for people on the garden floor, who paid 78 leva a night. I saw mosquito blood on the room wall. They cleaned the room every day but never left us soap to wash with during our six-day stay. The pillows and mattress were very old and dirty.

We really liked it here. It’s a great place for a quiet family vacation, with greenery all around the hotel, a very nice restaurant, and good prices.
