The staff were kind and polite, and the food tasted good, though there wasn't much variety. But after seven nights at Hotel Regina Ex Royal, I felt the stay fell short of what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Cleanliness was poor in the rooms and especially the bathrooms, where an unpleasant smell persisted throughout our stay. There was very little for children to do, just one hour of activities each day. Adult music ended at 10 PM, while other hotels keep entertainment going until midnight. The bar also closed at 10 PM, causing long queues and leaving staff overwhelmed near closing. The elevators were a major problem. There were only two small lifts, barely large enough for a stroller and two people. Long waits and crowds were common, especially in the mornings and evenings. In my opinion, this hotel deserves no more than 3 stars. I wouldn't return or recommend it to people looking for a complete, relaxing vacation.

A truly catastrophic stay, among the worst experiences I've had. The conditions made the place feel like a breeding ground for infection and a serious biological hazard to anyone entering. I believe the Bulgarian authorities should act immediately and clearly to find responsible ways to manage places like this, where people's lives are at risk, especially children spending their holidays here. The administration deserves condemnation for allowing such intolerable, hazardous conditions.

Good value for the money, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has had new management since 2025, and despite the older reviews I read, everything was great for me, including the rooms, pool, and food.

The entertainers Kris, Paco and Ani were welcoming and fun. We played table tennis, pool, archery, darts, and basketball contests. I won the table tennis contest and they gave me a diploma, then announced it over the microphone. That was a touching moment for me. The hotel is being renovated and rebranded as Hotel Regina. The rooms felt a bit dated, but from the 14th floor the sea view was impressive, and the rest of the hotel looked very good. The pool supposedly had mineral water, and I didn't notice excessive chlorine. The food was great with everything you could want. The cakes were my favorites.

The rooms were still dirty, with full bins, and the pool water looked like sewage. Food was cold or undercooked, assuming you could get any, and the drinks were made badly. Our rum and coke was green. The lifts took ages, customer service was absent, and it seemed nobody spoke English. There was mess everywhere, and the activities advertised on the website weren't available. Nothing matched the listing. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid it. 0/5.
