Hotel Silver - All Inclusive & Free Parking

The boss was the worst I've ever dealt with, unfriendly and dishonest. I came this summer with a folk ensemble, and every word he said was a lie. We slept on hospital beds and an old sofa in the rooms. The food never changes, and half of it was 🤢. Shame. I'll never go to this hotel again.

My first post got deleted, so I'm posting it again. "The whole stay was awful. They first put me in a room facing another hotel, even though I'd paid for a sea view. The replacement room did have a sea view, but it was dirty, as if housekeeping had left it the way the previous guests did. At coffee time I stood in line like I was in prison just to get a cup of ice cream and a few cheap snacks. Dinner was served from 18:00 to 20:00, but when I went at 19:15, 90% of the food was already gone. There were five small marinated fish to choose from, plus some cereal, potatoes, and broccoli. Cheap beer, soda, snacks, food, everything was cheap."

The parking mess and the way staff handled it ruined what was meant to be a holiday. The hotel advertises free parking, but its lot holds only about 20 cars despite having more than 50 rooms. At night it was packed, and getting out in the morning was a nightmare because reception hadn’t taken guests’ registration details or phone numbers. A delivery driver hit my car and drove off. When I raised it with reception and the manager, they seemed clueless and offered no useful response. I asked reception to translate when I called the police. Most likely the owner arrived, and they spoke among themselves without translating for us. The police asked us nothing; the only message the receptionist passed on was that we might be fined for parking illegally. Apparently that meant parking on private property where reception had told us we could park anywhere 🙄. From the owner’s body language, I got the impression they were trying to tell police we wanted to extort them. I’d tried to stay positive since we arrived, but this was the last straw. With the extra costs, we could have stayed somewhere nicer and had some peace of mind, which matters on a holiday. The hotel also gave a family of four a room with two single beds at check-in, though they did sort that out, and the food was cheap enough that I’m unsure whether anyone checked it for safety. One of my sons and I were sick for two days. I don’t recommend this place. It still feels like an ex-communist hotel, with little done about it in more than 30 years.

I only tried the food, since I didn’t see the rooms. It was fresh and good value for the price. Breakfast costs 5 leva, while lunch and dinner are 8 leva. The atmosphere was okay, with lots of Eastern European guests.
