Varna South Bay Beach Residence

The sea is only about a three-minute walk away, and there's a market on the corner with all the basics. Our apartment was very clean and had all the kitchen appliances we needed. The staff were polite and helpful, and we enjoyed the lovely pool and the view from the balcony. We had a beautiful stay here!

This huge complex sits right by the beach. It was first developed as a luxury holiday resort, but is now becoming more of a regular residential area. Local infrastructure and shopping options have been improving along with that change.

The balconies had a great view, and the complex itself is huge and right next to the beach, with an outdoor pool. But our stay in a three-bedroom apartment for 6+1 was a mess. There were six of us and we got just one key. We asked for another, but none was available. The apartment was extremely dirty, with food scraps under the tables, dead insects on the floor, dirty cupboards and bathrooms, and spiders everywhere. After we complained, they apologized and sent a cleaner, who gave the floors a quick sweep and left it at that. We had to pay in cash because the “post terminal was out of order” for four days. The underground parking was impossible to get into with a medium-sized car and full of bats.

August was crowded, and there was construction going on in every direction. The pool was clean and nice, with hundreds of parking spaces both inside and out. There are two restaurants on site. The beach entrance wasn't appealing, so we usually drove to the beaches beside Primorsky park. But if you find a stretch of beach you like, it's just a one-minute walk away. Lidl is within walking distance, about 500m by my estimate. I'd recommend a car for getting into the city, though there's also a bus stop within 200m.
