Hotel Concorde

The rooms were large and very clean, and they smelled amazing 😊😍. The staff were lovely, too. It’s very close to the centre and to sights like Tsarevets Fortess, Illusion Museum and Mini Bulgaria Park. For us, this was the best choice.

Breakfast was tasty and had a good range of choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location also made it easy to get around the city. The beds weren’t very comfortable, though, and limited parking could be an issue if you’re arriving by car.

We found bedbugs and had to leave the same day. We checked in at 18:00 and were gone by 22:00. After two months of delays and reassurances that we’d get our money back, neither Booking nor the hotel management had refunded us the roughly 220 euros. The worst experience.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and the hotel has good facilities in a convenient spot near the city centre. The staff were fairly friendly. Still, the place seems to have seen better days. Maintenance is lacking: some light switches and toilet flush buttons are coming apart, and the cleaning could be better. Breakfast needs improvement, too. Two of the three families in our group came home with nausea and digestive problems. There’s no private parking, but the staff helped us find spaces in the public area around the hotel. It’s a nice hotel in a good location, but upkeep could be better.
