Sky Garden Guest House

It really felt like home, and I’d happily recommend it. The house works perfectly for a holiday with a larger group too. Our host was the sweetest person I met in Velingrad, thinking of everything we might need, from parking to help with the jacuzzi and sauna, and even cooking for us.

The bathtub was great, but it wasn’t very clean, and the towels and bathroom sink were dirty. We raised the room issue and the hostess moved us to another one, but it was in the same condition. We ended up finding somewhere else, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We arrived very late after being on the road, but the host waited for us past check-in. They were very polite and kind, and our room was clean and spacious. We’ll definitely come back.

The balcony was huge, wrapping all the way around the room, with chairs for sitting outside when the weather’s right. Maria was pleasant and tried to make things work, but the room felt dated and needed more upkeep for the price. There was no hot water. She said it was temporary, though other reviews make that seem questionable. The old pillows were uncomfortable, the curtain was torn, and the sheets looked and smelled as if they’d been used already and not changed. There was also a bad smell from the bathroom drain, and street noise came through at all hours, especially at night.
