Ruby at reception made us feel welcome and was helpful and professional the whole time. The hotel was clean, respectful, and comfortable for a family, so we had a lovely stay at Al Fares Hotel in Juffair. A couple of small things could be better: the bathroom door was hard to close, and slippers in the bathroom would have been nice.

The pool was almost never available, which was another frustration during my 11 months there. The place looks great and the location is good, but the manager and staff made things difficult. They rarely communicated, and I found them lazy and dishonest. They gave me stories about the mold in my apartment and why the air conditioning took three months to fix. When they cleaned, they used dirty water. I hope they’ve improved and started treating residents with more care.
