Willowbank Resort

The staff at Willowbank were phenomenal, genuinely warm and attentive professionals. The property was quiet and spacious, with a stunning little beach that will blow your mind. We had a blissful, nurturing stay and the restaurant served delicious meals three times a day. Our two rooms were modest, so you get what you pay for in that sense. We had an amazing time and really expect to return. Thank you!

The dinner cooked by Chef Nick and served by Betty was the highlight for us. We love fish and vegetables, and the red snapper and bonito were heavenly. Chef Nick really knows how to make healthy, tasty, unique meals. We came for four nights over Fourth of July weekend, and after two nights the staff had made us feel at home with such a special welcome. Our room was very clean and had great air conditioning. The private beach was just a four minute walk away. Highly recommended.

The service couldn't keep up with the number of people at this ticketed post-event brunch, even though the attendance was known in advance. One chef had to manage three carving stations, which caused long delays. The only drink included in the $110 per person cost was heavily chlorinated tap water; fruit punch cost extra. My husband and I bought a San Pellegrino and a Corona, which came to $18.75. The food was generally acceptable, but in my opinion it didn't justify the unexpectedly high price. I don't know of another brunch on the island at a similar price, and many local options are close to half the cost while meeting a higher standard. I attended an event at Willowbank where our group had arranged this brunch afterward. I'll respectfully decline future event invitations there and suggest looking at Fourway, Grotto Bay, or other venues instead.

Give yourself plenty of time for lunch. The food was really good, but it took quite a while to arrive. The beach was lovely, and at high tide the water was fairly shallow in a good way. At low tide, expect about 20 meters or more of walking through water around a foot deep. The non-main beach was especially cool, with lots of rock formations and little coves. The path to the beach, including the main beach, isn't handicap accessible at all. The staff are very accommodating and help people get down there, though. Be careful on the golf cart ride, since bumps and holes in the concrete can make you fall off.
