Luis kept an eye on everything and was an exceptional host. We had a great stay in a comfortable private room, and the price was affordable. Breakfast was hearty and came with real coffee ☕. His tips for Cochabamba and Torotoro were invaluable. I'd recommend it 100%!
I wish we'd had longer here. Luis clearly cares about the place, and it feels designed as a clean, comfortable home for everyone staying there. He even contacted us about the road blocks before we arrived. The road was completely blocked, though, so we ended up taking a late-night flight. Breakfast was amazing, and I already miss the place. Everything about it deserves five stars!
We got a map for a lovely walk through the city, and breakfast was more than enough, with lots of choices and fruit, plus coffee and tea. Our host was very service-minded and made the effort to speak Spanish slowly and clearly, even though my Spanish is very limited. We actually felt we could get by in the language, which was an extra plus. The city has the teleférico up to the Christ statue closed at the moment. There's a taxi service at the base station instead, and walking back down the hill's stairs makes the 20 BOB ride to the top feel worthwhile. The teleférico was planned to reopen in June 2025. A lovely place to stay, as others have said.
Luis runs a busy little hostel for groups, vacationers, and solo backpackers, and he brings real care and professionalism to hosting. I spent four nights at Moroni and could happily have stayed longer. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they even provide drinking water. The area feels much safer than it used to. As a woman on my own, I felt fine walking in the evening, just following Aroma Av down from the centre. A few streets away, there's a great new train to La Cancha and Quillacollo, and Luis can give you all the information you need. Gracias!
