It looks sweet from outside and is only a 900m walk from the port. Inside, the beds were really poor quality, with spiders and bugs gathered in a corner of the ceiling. The shower was mostly cold, had lots of spiders too, and the floor was disgusting. It’s an economic place, but it’s sad to see a hostel managed this way.

Such a beautiful place turned into the worst hostel. It was dirty throughout and had a bad smell. The kitchen was disgusting, so I wouldn’t plan to cook there. There was just one shower, and the water wasn’t really hot.

The rooms are nice and it’s pretty cheap, but the place could be run better. They’re quite disorganized, and I wish it were tidier. It just needs more cleaning and organization.

The lakeside location is lovely, though at night you should take a taxi because of the dogs. The place is extremely basic, more like a campsite with rooms than a hostel with a campsite. Despite what they tell you and what Hostelworld says, there’s no hot water. The toilets were dirty, none had toilet paper, and they didn’t flush, so you have to pour a bucket of water down instead. My dorm room was very cold and had no plugs, so bring a portable charger. I’d come straight from climbing Huayna Potosi and still found it cold. Luckily I had the dorm to myself and could use blankets from the other beds. There are no bins, shelves or lockers in the dorm or elsewhere.
