York Hostel

We spent ten days here while taking care of a lot of things in La Paz, and it worked perfectly for us. The hostel is in Sopocachi, a nice, safe neighborhood a little outside the centre, but still within walking distance. The rooms were clean and beautiful, and the staff were really friendly and offered to clean them every day. There are several terraces for eating or hanging out, plus a fully equipped kitchen guests can use. Breakfast was great. Would really recommend this hostel, thanks so much!

There’s a lovely garden and a common area with a kitchen, plenty of DVDs and books. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and the hot shower worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious, too. The hosts were very kind and helpful, especially Ruth, who helped organize our trip to Salar de Uyuni. Lovely hostel in Sopocachi, fully recommended. I’d definitely come back to La Paz ♥️

The restaurant was the best I tried in Bolivia, with awesome French food. My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel and ate there, too. The hotel is cozy, beautiful, and peaceful, and every room has its own decoration. The treatment we received was a highlight as well.

The rooms are big, with lots of windows and views of the city and mountains. Beds are comfortable, though they make noise, and the floors squeak. The shower door lets water out, but otherwise no issues. There’s a restaurant on the main floor. It could easily be a 2 or 3 star hotel. It’s on a dead end street with no traffic, about three blocks from the main street.
