The rooms were cozy, warm, and clean, and there’s a nice area to hang out with a pool table. When we visited, though, the place felt dead, with no other tourists around. That also made it quiet, which was nice. The internet didn’t work, and the showers only sometimes got lukewarm. I wanted to love the place because it’s in a great location, but it needs some work to compete with the other options nearby.
Our private room was spacious, and the hostel is central with tours and breakfast on offer, though I never tried the food. Staff often seemed distracted. One person came into our room without apologizing, and another knocked hard on the bathroom door while I was taking a cold shower. Hot water and basic courtesy were both lacking.
Breakfast was nice, and it’s a good place in general. Still, there’s no kitchen or hot water, and I couldn’t find plugs.
The central location put the main sights close by, and the staff were attentive and gave great service. I spent four days here in September 2015 and left really pleased. Highly recommended.
Just two blocks from the main square, this is a small, cozy place. Guests also get discounts at the restaurant, nightclub, agency, and tour.
