Hotel Portal das Águas

We had a good stay. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were kind and friendly, especially Anderson and Laura. The hotel is older, but it’s kept in good condition, and the outdoor pool is large and clean.

The room felt dated and could use an update. The bathroom door and window were rotten, and one of the bathroom lights was missing. When I first walked in, the room didn’t smell freshly cleaned. We had to ask for room cleaning because the receptionist said sheets and towels were changed only after three days. The rates seemed very high for what was offered. There were some good points too: the location was good, the pools were nice, and the staff were polite. The air conditioning in my room was new and cooled very well. Breakfast was good, though it could have had more variety.

Accessibility was the one problem for us. There’s a large flight of stairs at the hotel entrance and reception, so a solution is needed for wheelchair users and people with strollers. There were lots of older guests, and they all complained about that. The staff do everything they can to help, and there are so many possible solutions that wouldn’t require major construction. I hope to come back and see one in place. Thank you! It’s a lovely place to rest and enjoy nature. We had an excellent stay, the whole team deserves a 10, and breakfast was perfect.

We left already wanting to come back. The hotel is clean and well located, and breakfast was great. Anderson, Pedro, Fátima, Vanda, and the rest of the staff made our stay so pleasant. Everyone was very helpful and polite.
