I stayed at Campo Base years ago and forgot to leave a review, but I loved it enough to come back and write one. The place was beautiful and rustic, yet really clean and comfortable. The staff were so attentive, and breakfast was delicious. I still remember those tapiocas. I recommend it to everyone!

The private bathroom was spotless and smelled fresh, and the shower was perfect after a hike. Breakfast, which Sara and Lucas made, was spectacular too. The mix of comfort and rustic style was lovely, and their warm, friendly attention made the stay even better. I can’t imagine not wanting to return!

We’d never come across the idea of “glamping” before. The green setting and great cabins were a new kind of stay for us, with a comfortable bed and private bathroom. It’s right beside Chapada National Park. Sarah and Lucas also made a great breakfast, especially the pumpkin bread.

A great spot, especially thanks to Slava, the Russian caretaker. He was so attentive and caring with all of us, and made this one of my best experiences. The glamping site is right beside the chapada park, with tents under covered structures. It’s a kind of upscale camping, with everything, including the beds, done to a high standard. Everything seemed new, and the price was fair considering how expensive everything in São Jorge is. I’d definitely come back, and congratulations to everyone, especially Slava. A few things kept it from being five stars. I found it frustrating that there was a kitchen but guests couldn’t use it. There seemed to be a lot of rules, with positive messages that still felt like little digs, such as asking people to enjoy nature but not make noise, or to keep the lovely kitchen clean. It took some of the magic away. The bathrooms weren’t really private: they’re right next to each other with no sound insulation, so you can hear your neighbor in detail, which is embarrassing. Towels are available, but you have to pay for them.

The sleeping tents were spacious and comfortable, and the whole place was clean and wonderful. We ordered breakfast, and it was delicious and generously served. Sarah was so helpful and took care of everything we needed. I highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely be back.
