Pousada e Camping Aldeia da Lua

Nice.

A quiet, beautiful river is here too, and the views from the chalet are lovely. We fell for the chalet and the scenery straight away. When we arrived, a pair of macaws were there to greet us, which was amazing. I’d recommend coming here to rest, enjoy the scenery, and listen to the sounds of nature.

Absolutely awful place. The service was horrible and the staff were rude. Breakfast cost an outrageous 50,00 per person, and I wouldn’t recommend staying even one day. The employees showed no respect or manners. Ask for something and they turn their backs; go to use the bathroom and they ask if you’re going to take long. It’s uncomfortable and will spoil your rest. There are better pousadas and campsites where people treat you with respect regardless of your social class. We left our cooler with our drinks overnight, and the owner was drinking from it without anyone’s permission. That tells you enough. I don’t recommend it. You’ll just get angry and lose your peace.

If you want to get away from everything, this is a good choice. The access road to the pousada is a bit rough. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. The power went out at bedtime on both days we stayed.
