We had a great weekend, and seeing more than 10 macaws come to eat birdseed right in front of the chalets early in the morning was beautiful. The inn is a convenient distance from town and its clothing shops, though those are expensive, around 90 to 130 reais for a simple shirt. The road to the inn is dirt and very bumpy, so I recommend a high-clearance car. The room was fine, clean and spacious, the shower heated well and had a handheld sprayer for kids, and the door uses a keypad code. There’s also a minibar and cable TV with Netflix and YouTube. The breakfast needs work. There wasn’t much variety or enough bread and cake, and more juice options and both hot and cold chocolate would help. On May 31, the attendant said the mozzarella had run out. For a rate of 650 reais a night, I don’t think that should happen. The bread and cake baskets are small, especially if there are more than 10 guests. The so-called private pool was another disappointment. The water was cold. We asked reception to turn on the heating and were told it would take several hours, only to be told the pool isn’t heated, it’s climate-controlled, meaning it wouldn’t be warm, just not cold. We ended up heating water in the shower and adding it to the pool little by little. The next morning the pool in the neighboring room was quite warm. When I asked reception about it, they only passed the message on to the employee in charge. If I pay extra for a private pool, this isn’t what I expect. We shouldn’t have to wait hours for the water to 'climate-control.' We didn’t like it. For this nightly rate, there are other places on the same street with great breakfasts and genuinely heated pools.

The view from the inn was stunning, and the flocks of macaws flying by made it even more special. We were welcomed so warmly by the staff, and the macaws added color to the afternoon among the beautiful landscaping. Everything was cared for, with little details that really made a difference during our stay. Breakfast was more than complete. I loved it and already can’t wait to come back.

A welcoming, well located place that’s easy to get to. The owner and team were so friendly, and we were delighted to have a whole 'convoy' of macaws nearby, enchanting us with their flights and calls. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, served in an area overlooking the infinity pool and a beautiful valley. I’ll definitely be back.

The suite was very good, but it needs a table, chairs, and somewhere to put the suitcases. The really bad part was how cold the pool water was, around 12°C on the cold, rainy days when I visited. The place itself is special, with great service and a lovely breakfast served by a warm, friendly team. I really enjoyed the nature, scenery, and animals that roam freely there, including macaws, guans, and water hens. I’ll come back to the inn only if the pools have heated water.

The macaws that show up there were a special part of the stay. It’s the kind of moment that makes you stop, breathe, and take in the feel of the place. The room was comfortable and everything seemed new, with strong air conditioning and a minibar. The private pool for the room was simply wonderful. Breakfast was a pleasure to wake up for, with plenty of fresh food, plus tapioca, couscous, and scrambled eggs made to order. The welcome started as soon as we arrived, and the reception team was so friendly and made us feel at ease. I loved my stay at Pousada Villa Tereza from beginning to end. I’d definitely recommend it and come back!
