The view from the roof bar, where breakfast is served, is excellent. You can see the beach and some lovely sunsets. The location is great, right next to the beach, and the place looks new and is very clean. Brena at the lobby was really helpful with questions, booking a buggy, and recommending restaurants. I'll definitely book again for the next kitting season!

We were staying at the pousada next door, and a party here kept us awake all night. The loud music, shouting, and lack of control from the management made for a really unpleasant experience. My boyfriend and I had hoped for a quiet weekend, but couldn't sleep. It's a shame there was so little consideration for guests and neighbors. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for peace and rest.

The location worked especially well for us with a small child, close to the beach, restaurants, and excursions. Brena also helped us get our bearings and explained the city so clearly that we felt well supported. From arrival on, everything was organized and handled with care, and the staff were thoughtful and respectful throughout. The rooms felt new, spacious, and well looked after, with plenty of room for a family. We had a great stay and will definitely come back. Thank you, Hotel Mare and Brenda.

The best parts were the room's space, the bed, pillows, linens and towels, amenities, and the architecture and decor. The TV was smart and connected to Netflix. Brena and Taina were also very willing to help, and the hotel is close to the beach and town center, though not right on the sand. Parking is on the next block. The room had several problems. The shower stall flooded from the first bath, apparently clogged, and the floor slope meant water stayed around our feet. Water pressure was okay, but the hot and cold controls were awkward, and the cold tap was loose. The toilet was clogged too, and the handheld bidet spray's tap didn't work. I told reception, and Brena promptly tried to sort it out, but it wasn't fixed until the next day. There was no sound insulation. We could hear people on the stairs, street noise, and unexplained banging throughout both nights. I had earplugs with me and needed them, but still didn't sleep well. Resting in the afternoon wasn't possible either because construction behind the property was noisy from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The breakfast was average, neither disappointing nor impressive. The pool water was cloudy, so it wasn't even inviting for a photo. The staff were polite and attentive from booking through checkout, and Brena helped arrange excursions and suggest restaurants, but the stay wasn't as good as I'd hoped.
