Being right by the lake is great, and there are kayaks and SUPs to use. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, though breakfast is nothing special. The rooms feel cramped given all the space around, and the pool area is very small. I also didn’t enjoy having music on all the time, especially since it was a bit loud.

They have rooms suited to couples as well as families, so it’s a good option for either kind of trip. Such a lovely place.

The rooms are beautiful, and we had a great experience.

I booked Moriá after seeing its Instagram marketing and, of course, checked the Google reviews too. Some of the experiences there sounded only average, and after staying, I felt the promises on social media weren’t delivered. There are lots of unnecessary rules that aren’t explained before you book. They advertise a pool but restrict the hours without explaining where those hours came from or considering that guests may have a night routine. This isn’t a residential condominium with set hours for music, the pool, and the sports court. I understand keeping things peaceful for the community after 22:00, but the limit should be about music that disrupts everyone’s wellbeing. Breakfast was another problem. It’s unacceptable to serve guests leftovers from the previous day, especially at Moriá, which charges a very high nightly rate. On 20/01/26, around 08:00, I went to reception asking for something as basic as a roll of toilet paper. The receptionist said she couldn’t access it and I’d have to wait until housekeeping arrived at 09:30 to get a simple hygiene item. I’d planned to bring my pet, who’s part of my family, but when I mentioned it, I was given a list of rules about where my child could and couldn’t go. How can an inn call itself Petfriendly and then set such unreasonable limits on where a pet is allowed? I chose not to bring him so the trip wouldn’t become a hassle. To me, a place isn’t truly Petfriendly if it limits where a dog can be. How could I go to the pool if my child had to stay X meters away from me? Another frustrating rule was that my pet couldn’t be with me at breakfast. People looking for a pet-friendly pousada know their animal is a family member, not just a pet. If management can’t understand that, it would be better not to accept pets. What surprised me was seeing street animals in guest areas despite all those rules: cats by the pool, cows by the sports court, and dogs at reception and in the dining area. That was great to see, but it went against the rules imposed on guests before they even arrive. Moriá has a beautiful structure, but it fails at the basics. After this negative experience, I’d never return. There’s no point trying to do extraordinary things when the basics aren’t handled.

We stayed from 06 to 11 February, and the pousada was even more beautiful and welcoming in person than it looked in the photos. The care and attention from everyone made us feel truly special throughout. Everyone was wonderful, with a special thanks to Dandara, Andresa, and Kelvio for making the stay even more memorable.
