It’s a beautiful place and well worth visiting. The old sugar mill opened on June 12, 1885, and at the time was considered the biggest in the region. Entry tickets are sold next door at RECEPÇÃO DO HOTEL SAMBA. Photographers love using the ruins for wedding and debutante shoots. Some people do similar shoots outside the ruins without buying a ticket, which is common in the area.
