I wouldn't recommend it. The rooms look like the photos, but basic things were missing: curtains, decent pillows, and a mirror. The minibar was empty and switched off, and there wasn't even a glass in the room. Nobody was at reception when we arrived, and when the host showed up, she couldn't find the check-in papers. They said the pousada had a restaurant, but it looked like it had been closed for a long time. There are only two restaurants on the street. The host advised us against one, so we didn't try it; the other one she recommended was a bad experience, with a disorganized dining room and poor food. The beach water is dark, which we were told was due to springs running down the hillside and the nearby mangrove. The sand by the sea looked like mud. A better beach with tourist facilities is 10 km away. We had a car, so we could drive there each day and still enjoy the trip. Breakfast was basic and poor. We were there for New Year's Eve and joined the pousada's dinner. The food was cold, the fireworks were ridiculous, and they didn't even serve a glass of sparkling wine. We'd brought a bottle, expecting as much. What a letdown.

The staff were all wonderful, from Mateus, who was attentive, polite, and really kind, to the sweet women in the kitchen and the very polite cleaner. We loved our stay, from the first call to check prices right through checkout. Our room and bathroom were very clean, the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet, and breakfast was delicious. The view is gorgeous, and the beach out front feels like a heated swimming pool. The guy at the restaurant across the way was also very attentive and served a delicious lunch. Highly recommend!

It's a quiet place with a calm beach right across from it. Our room was cozy, the atmosphere welcoming, and the pousada looked like the online photos. The owners handle guest services themselves and are extremely friendly. That family feel is nice, though sometimes we couldn't find anyone at reception when we needed help and had to go looking for them. Breakfast was simple and tasty. There's no restaurant at the pousada, and the nearby street and beach don't have good shops or restaurants. The better places to eat and visit are reachable only by car, even though they're not very far away.
