Pousada Cabanas do Curupira

We felt so welcome here. My boyfriend and I stayed over the October 12 holiday, and since it was rainy, we spent a lot of time enjoying the cabin and the covered barbecue area. The breakfast was simple, homemade and really tasty. We’d like to come back when the weather settles so we can enjoy more of the place.

A great place to relax and connect with nature. The owners are really attentive and make you feel at ease. There’s Wi-Fi, a short trail on the property and a hammock to relax in. Breakfast is included in the nightly rate, and the cabin has a TV, fridge, water, blankets and towels.

There are three small cabins, all extremely clean and organized, in a wonderful setting where you can experience the Mata Atlantica in what feels like an almost untouched state. Sr Luís made us feel completely at ease. His care and hospitality gave us a fantastic stay, and he was just one of those genuinely good people you’re glad to meet. The breakfast is simple but has its own special touch, and the price is fair. What a lovely place. I’ll be back soon.

I loved the four days I spent at Pousada Cabanas do Curupira. If I could, I’d live there. It’s an incredible place if you want something different and a chance to be close to nature. Sr Luis and his wife are so welcoming and attentive. They know the area well and have lots of experience with animals, plants and trails, so they can give you good ideas for things to do. I’d talk with them before booking a tour. The cabin is simple, without frills, but has what you need to sleep and shower, plus a minibar. I had no complaints about the cleanliness. It can be humid at certain times of year because of the location, and that just means clothes take longer to dry. They change the towels every day, so there are dry towels for bathing daily. Each cabin has a little porch with a small table, chairs and a hammock, so lovely. Breakfast was very good too, with delicious fruit, cakes and bread served in an open kitchen where you can hear the birds and animals and enjoy the view. I already miss the place. “É o lugar que escolhe a gente”, happy that places like this exist.
