Hotel Piracicaba

Just average.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times, but it really let me down when we went there for Christmas on 24/12/25. I was shocked by how unhygienic it was. The rooms were very dirty, the bathrooms were disgusting, and the shower enclosure was stained and filthy. There were clumps of hair on the stairs, the room smelled musty, the beds were very hard, there were no mattress covers, and the sheets were extremely grimy. Breakfast was very poor, with little variety and simple food. The food was fresh, but still very weak for Christmas. The cleaning staff were cleaning rooms and then serving in the dining room, and, to top it off, they weren’t wearing gloves for cleaning.

The service and food were excellent, and the rooms were good. The bathrooms could use improvement.

They put me in a basement room that was awful, tiny, stuffy, and had no ventilation. It smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom was very small and visibly dirty, with a broken transparent door that wouldn’t close and left a gap. The internet didn’t work. The corridors were narrow and full of wiring and pipes. I was glad I’d brought my own pillowcases, sheets, towels, and blanket, because I couldn’t use what was provided. There was nowhere to put my belongings except one shelf, with no hangers or storage space. I felt humiliated. I paid the regular nightly rate like any other guest. I stayed because it was only one night; otherwise I would have left and found somewhere else. I’m not fussy and don’t usually complain, but the whole situation was extremely unpleasant. They said it was because I’d booked at the last minute, which was true, but nobody told me the room would be like that, and they didn’t show it to me when we arrived. At least the food was good. I was deeply upset and humiliated.
