Summit Hotel Porto Real Aparecida

All good.

Great!

The morning and afternoon receptionists were helpful and attentive, and I liked the kitchen team too. The corn cake really is delicious. Ivan, the night receptionist, was a very different experience. We arrived around 3 a.m. and he looked as if he’d been asleep. He just handed over the key card without explaining how the hotel worked. When we asked which room we had and where it was, he rudely said, “Look at the card.” Later, while we were putting the car away, he shouted from inside the hotel that we should go in through the garage. We told his coworkers what had happened, and they said this wasn’t the first complaint. He should be warned and given training, and if that doesn’t help, the hotel should find someone else for the role.

The hotel is in a good spot, clean, and looks nice, but the soundproofing is terrible. We were worn out from traveling and still couldn’t sleep properly because we could hear everything from the other rooms. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m., which is late for the guests they serve. It could start at 6 for people like us who needed to leave earlier; we had to pay to eat somewhere else. There also aren’t food options for people with allergies or intolerances.
