Such a peaceful place, with wonderful staff and nature tours. claudia and stephan were fantastic hosts and guides. The ecosystem is truly unique, and I saw more beautiful birds here than even in costa rica.

I needed a long time to process my trip in spring ‘23 before writing this. Leaving was so hard I actually cried. The staff and lodging were lovely, and the fragile, gorgeous ecosystem, a place on the brink of disappearing, made the whole experience feel incredibly special. If you want a one-of-a-kind time in nature that might change you, come here. I'm forever grateful to our hosts and guides for looking after us and our 2 kids, and for sharing their world. Obrigado 💚

I went with my family and friends in October 2023, and I loved the Cavalo branco. João is an amazing guide! I'd definitely return, hopefully to see a jaguar.

You feel genuinely welcome and looked after here. They host small groups, and the bilingual staff are knowledgeable and focused on good service. There are nature tours every day. Special thanks to Stefan, Carol, Claudia and Fernando: obrigada 🙏

I was helping with an art project in RecifeI for a couple of weeks and decided to see a few other parts of Brazil while I was there. Booking this Fazenda was a great choice. I got a feel for the beautiful nature and wildlife of Mato Grosso do Sul, and spent day after day riding horses. I felt at home from the moment I arrived. My accommodation was splendid, with a lovely view of the lake from my private terrace. I knew all meals were included because the place is so remote, but I never expected food that felt more like 5 Star cuisine than something served out in the wild. The Caipirinha was the best I had in all Brazil, and there was excellent fresh lemonade whenever I wanted to cool down. The tours were well chosen and all felt special, though I was quite happy spending my days on horseback. There was also a beautiful sunrise picknick, with cute otters eating the plentiful fish nearby, plus kayak, boat and Jeep trips. I even saw a jaguar in its natural habitat, along with some rare and beautiful species. The spontaneous barbecue was at a magnificent spot where Jorge Schweizer had observed and documented Pantanal otters for more than a decade. Huge thanks to Camilla, her staff, the guides and the cowboys. They made my stay a blast.
