Hotel Aracaju suítes

Great.

The room was far worse than the one advertised. Its door faced a busy common area, where there were cigarette butts. There were dead cockroaches in the hallway, ants crawling on the room walls, and the room smelled of smoke and mold. I left as soon as I saw the condition of the room. Even though I’d been given a room so different from what I’d booked, the hotel refused to refund the night.

My fiancée and I went to the hotel just for breakfast. We paid in advance by debit card, but the food and the place looked so bad that we immediately decided not to go ahead with it. We didn’t eat or drink anything. I asked for a refund right away. The receptionist called the manager, who wasn’t there, and took my bank details, promising the money would be sent back by PIX that same day. I trusted them. Several days have passed and I still haven’t received it. Whenever I call, I’m told the manager isn’t there. Keeping payment for a service that wasn’t provided is misappropriation. I’m posting this in the hope they’ll do what they promised. I’ll remove the review once I receive proof of the refund.

The room itself felt like guesswork, and nobody clearly explained how things worked. We had to ask about everything, from buying the stay to arriving at the hotel, when they should have given us that information. They offered private parking when we booked, but there wasn’t enough space. It only fit four cars packed together. When we came back, there was nowhere for our car, and they coldly and rudely told us to find somewhere ourselves. We had to leave it far from the hotel in an unfamiliar area. Later a space opened up, so we brought the car back, but while we were showering they called and hurried us to move it because another car needed to get out. I offered the key, but the person at reception didn’t know how to drive. We had to rush through our showers to move the car. I didn’t like the experience and wouldn’t recommend it.
