Hotel Fenix

The rooms had mold, and the shower wasn’t working and was full of sludge. It was clearly poorly maintained. During the night, the fire alarm went off for no apparent reason.

I stayed at fênix over New Year’s Eve, and for the price, I think the hotel gives you more than you pay for. The rooms were pleasant and the beds comfortable, with the minibar and air conditioning both working properly. There’s no real luxury, but you get what you need, a moderately comfortable stay and a good night’s sleep. The price is low, and the hotel exceeded what I expected.

There was no minibar in my room, the air conditioning was poor, and there was mold on the walls. They don’t serve lunch, dinner, or even a snack, and breakfast was very simple. They only gave me water because I needed to take medication. Apparently, though, the rule is not to keep even a jug of water available for guests.
