Makai Resort Aracaju

The staff were kind, and the food was mediocre. The beds felt small for two adults, and the air conditioner was far too noisy. The hotel is old and needs a complete renovation, despite how it comes across on the website. In our first room, the toilet wouldn’t flush. We reported it straight away, but after several hours with no maintenance visit, we had to ask for another room. The bathroom there was old too, but at least the toilet worked. The sink tap in that second room had no hot water, which would be a problem if you wanted to shave, and the mirror and painted wall looked moldy and old. The pool wet bar wasn’t staffed and seemed closed. I’ll leave it there.

There’s plenty to do around the natural surroundings, including archery and paintball, and the place is both beautiful and peaceful. It works well for relaxing and having fun. The one drawback is that drinks aren’t included with lunch or dinner.

The coffee was awful, and while some staff were very friendly, others weren’t. The food ranged from reasonable to good. The hotel looks old and worn. It’s away from the city, which is fine if it provides everything guests need.

A gorgeous private beach and complete, delicious food made this an awesome experience. A great place to visit in the northeast of Brazil.
