The breakfast view is breathtaking. The place itself is tucked away, with no sign at the entrance, and the facilities are simple.

Felipe was very attentive at first, but what we’d agreed on wasn’t honored. The room was much smaller than expected, dirty, with damp walls and a moldy smell. When we said we wouldn’t stay, he insisted it was the room he had described and said he wouldn’t accept us backing out. He demanded half the room cost, even though we believed we had the right to leave without paying. His manner was so rude that we thought it might turn into a fight. We’d confirmed by phone and WhatsApp, but he still insisted on payment. We paid half to avoid things getting worse, and decided never to return to pousada casa castelo. God is just, and He knows what He’s doing.

Room 6 was very comfortable, and the new owners were friendly and helpful. This pousada feels truly distinctive and typical of Brazil, something rare in Canoa. I’d definitely recommend it.

From the welcome to the moment we left, I liked everything. The owners are really nice, and the place is peaceful, close to the beach with a sea view, and near the center. I hope to come back soon.
