Pousada Dona Flor

The space itself is good, but breakfast could be better. The bathrooms also don’t offer much privacy from the rest of the room.

You can walk to the beach and Broadway from here, which is a real plus. I stayed during a holiday in a sea-view room. The view was excellent and the room spacious, but it was quite dark, and some of the bulbs were burned out. No one came to our room even to take out the bathroom trash. Breakfast was simple and could be better. There also weren’t enough tables for all the guests, so I had to wait for a couple to finish before I could sit. Some guests were pretty rude and played loud music while people were eating.

The pool was wonderful, the room cozy and breakfast really good. The pousada is very close to both the beach and Broadway. I loved my stay and have nothing to complain about, definitely the best pousada in canoa quebrada.

It’s a pleasant place, though nothing fancy, with a really pretty, well-kept outdoor area. I only saw the luxury room, and it was quite basic. There was just one chair, not enough for even a couple, no place or hooks to hang wet towels or clothes, and no clothes hangers. We had to put our bags on the two “single beds,” which looked more like sofas. The air conditioner was very dirty and broken, but it did cool the room well. Breakfast was simple and reasonable, but the limited selection was frustrating. There wasn’t much variety, and if you didn’t arrive early, some items might be gone. The service was good. There’s no parking lot, but the car can be left at the owner’s house nearby, which felt safe. I didn’t need a car anyway, since the location makes it possible to get around on foot. For what it offers, I thought the rate was a little high, at least during our stay over the September 7 holiday, compared with some other options. It’s an okay place. I’d recommend the luxury suite if it costs no more than 400.00 per night, even on a holiday, or if there aren’t other options.
