Diplomata Hotel Ltda

The price is the lowest among the local hotels, so it’s a budget option, though I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with high expectations. My room smelled strongly of mold, and the fan had been left running, apparently to cover it up. The toilet had no water, even though other rooms were available. Breakfast was reasonable. I’d suggest seeing the place before booking.

The room I had faced the street, which climbs uphill, and the cars and motorcycles were noisy well into the night and early morning. The mattress was very old, thin, and torn. Breakfast was extremely basic, mostly bread, coffee, and milk, with just one kind of fruit. On the plus side, the hotel was clean, the service was quick, there’s private parking, and the price is low.

The owner is a very kind older lady, and her children were lovely too. Everything is simple, but it was all very good. My room had a minibar and air conditioning, and the sheets and towels were clean and smelled fresh. Breakfast was simple and delicious. There’s a water dispenser in the hallway with both chilled and room-temperature water, which I liked.

They welcomed me well, but the apartment interiors feel dated now. They could charge a little more and modernize the place.
