Pousada Recanto de Praia Seca

Eliane and Marcelo are wonderful hosts. The pool isn’t large, but it’s lovely, and few inns in the area have one. The place feels peaceful and well looked after, with plenty of shade nearby and an overall sense of safety. It’s easy to reach within Praia Seca. Parking is along the sidewalk, but it felt perfectly comfortable and secure. Breakfast is simple, complete, and served generously. Eliane and Marcelo are warm, attentive, and welcoming, which made our stay more comfortable. The inn gave us the impression of being cared for and set up for a restful visit. Little details or unexpected hiccups are understandable and didn’t affect our experience. We have no complaints and recommend it.

I booked this inn on Booking in August 2025 for my elderly parents to stay in January 2026. When they arrived, they were told there was a problem with their room and that they’d be moved to another inn for three nights. The issue wasn’t that something had gone wrong with the room, but how it was handled. The other place had no breakfast, so my parents, both elderly, had to walk from one inn to the other to eat. Halfway through the stay, they had to switch inns again and go to Recanto, which cost them a day of their trip. When they returned, they were put in a lower-grade room than the one they had booked. They didn’t complain because they didn’t want to make a relaxing holiday even worse. The better solution would have been to move them to one other inn for the whole booking, with breakfast there, instead of making them travel between places and change inns mid-stay. Other guests who noticed the situation told my parents they had booked much later but were given their rooms without any problem. It was a poor experience and spoiled the trip.

We had a really comfortable stay, and there’s nothing I can complain about. The place is cozy, well organized, and clean, and pets are welcome. Breakfast was wonderful. Our room looked out onto the street and garden and had air conditioning, cable TV, a fan, and a mini fridge. Parking is along the curb, but it felt easy and is monitored around the clock. The lagoon is five minutes away and the sea is six minutes away. I think this is one of the best places to stay in town, if not the best.

Silvana welcomed us with so much care and attention, thank you! We loved the peaceful outdoor area, especially the pool. Breakfast was excellent, and our room was spotless. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back.
