The water is usually calm, with very small waves, and it isn't cold. The golden sand looks clean, though there is a bit of dirt, and the view is nice. There are coffee shops for food and drinks, but parking could be difficult, so a taxi or Uber may be easier. It can also get busy, with lots of boats around.
It looks like a nice beach, but it's packed. There's also a bad smell, and it clearly needs toilet facilities.
I'm local, so I know what happens here. After heavy rain, raw sewage spills onto the beach. Tourists, don't swim here. Stay away!
There were lots of boats, but not many people. The water was clear.
I ended up staying at Praia dos Ossos instead of continuing to azeda beach. It was quiet, the water was super clear, and I loved the view of the boats. My beach day there was great, and it was much less crowded than the other beaches. This place feels pretty underrated.
