The beach here is incredible: long, with good waves for beginner and intermediate surfers, and drinks at very reasonable prices. The views are lovely, and the caipirinhas are expertly made. Rooms are clean and functional, but basic, and some don’t have proper windows facing the beach. For a beach hotel, that may be fine, but the price feels too high for what the place offers and its limited infrastructure. Breakfast was acceptable for both quality and variety. During our stay, though, the staff didn’t feel especially engaged, friendly, or welcoming. With a lower rate and a few more smiles, this could be a five-star stay.

The sunsets and views from this centrally located beach hotel are hard to put into words. The location is beautiful, and the staff were kind to my family members who only spoke English. They were friendly with me too, despite my very broken Portuguese. I also got to meet the owner and his wife and chat with them about the area and some experiences we’d shared. The cocktails were among the best I had in Brazil, made with really fresh fruit. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Buzios.

The pool connects directly to the beach, and there’s a bar on the hotel’s own beach with all the drinks you could need and really nice food. My room was beautiful, especially with the sea view, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best I’ve had at any Brazilian hotel I’ve stayed in, with lots of fruit, fresh-pressed juices, and dark wholegrain bread, which is rare in Brazil. I can’t recommend this beautiful place highly enough. Thank you!

The location is awesome, and several staff members were friendly, especially Max, the woman working the second shift at the front desk, Jorge, and the housekeeper. For six nights with my wife and two kids, I paid R$13,800, but the room was extremely small and uncomfortable. The breakfast staff were very rude, and breakfast itself wasn’t impressive. I’d stay again if it were just my wife and me, and the price were a third of what I paid this time.
