Eco Village Ferradura

The grounds are lovely, and we were greeted warmly. Staff stayed kind and attentive throughout, and the welcome cocktail by the pool was a nice touch. Breakfast was good too. Since no buffet was laid out, they brought a nicely presented selection to our table each morning. Still, the dining room felt strangely quiet. For much of the stay we seemed to be the only guests, and only saw a couple of others at breakfast later on. We skipped the bar in the evenings because there was no atmosphere or other guests to mingle with. There were practical problems in the room. It was very small, with an extra bed we didn't need. Staff removed it, which helped, but the rooms could use maintenance. The shower took 5-10 minutes to get hot each time, reportedly because the rooms hadn't been used for a while. Once it warmed up, we took turns showering back-to-back. The water pressure was weak, and sometimes the toilet took several flushes. Wi-Fi was poor in our room, slow and repeatedly dropping out, so our phones often switched to mobile data and we got a usage warning from our carrier. It worked fine at reception, in the breakfast area, and in hallways near routers. For steady access without using our data, we had to put our phones on airplane mode and stand outside the room. We asked about changing rooms, but were told the other rooms in our area had the same issues, which seemed odd given how empty the resort was. Getting there felt a little off-grid too: the access road had plenty of potholes, and the low guest numbers plus the water and Wi-Fi problems added to that impression. It was easy enough to get in and out by Uber, though, and town was a short ride away. The town was busy with tourists, so the resort's emptiness was surprising, especially since it was still October, not usually low season. Maybe the slightly out-of-the-way location played a part. A beautiful property with lovely staff and breakfast, but dated rooms, unreliable Wi-Fi, hot water delays, and the lack of atmosphere let our stay down. If you want seclusion and can put up with some inconveniences, it may suit you. For comfort, energy, and reliability, you may want to stay nearer town.

July 2025. The outside areas are gorgeous, easily five stars. I felt like I was living in Roman times and could imagine the whole scene. The room was okay, but the bathroom needs some renovation. There was mold growing along the lower sides of the shower, and I hated seeing and smelling it. The room had a moldy stench. Reception were friendly, courteous, and very nice. The young men serving breakfast were humble, kind, and attentive. I especially remember the curly-haired server. God bless him. We also loved the caramel candy waiting in our room, so yummy.

The higher sun loungers by the Tangiers pool made a real difference for me, since I have trouble getting up from low beds. There were a few of them near the pool bar. If stairs are difficult for you too, ask for a ground-floor room. I needed one when I arrived, and Andre sorted it out without fuss, which I really appreciated. We spent three relaxing days here at the end of our 16 days in Argentina and Brazil, and it was a welcome break. The grounds were well kept, the food and drinks were good and reasonably priced, and everyone was pleasant and helpful, from Andre at check-in to the restaurant and pool bar staff.

The staff were really nice, and the place itself has potential, but it needs renovation. The bathrooms are tiny and cheaply done, the pool is in bad shape, and the rooms are too dark. At 350 euros a night for us and our two kids, it wasn't worth the money.
