Ferradura Resort

We spent Christmas here, and the staff had put together a great programme with lots of thoughtful details. The food was fantastic, the service excellent, and our room was very good too. A lovely choice for a family break. Well done to everyone, and thank you!

The room had a few frustrating issues: the wall outlets were poorly placed, and the door keys kept malfunctioning, so they had to be reset over and over. There wasn't a restaurant in my block either, and the one on site was a long walk away. Even so, in every other respect this is one of the best places I've stayed.

I spent New Year's Eve at Ferradura Hotel, and the fireworks were the best I saw in Buzios. Nothing felt skimped on, including the real champagne. I had the privilege of meeting the owner and talking with him. He's an older gentleman, only a few years older than me, so we got on easily. He told me he wanted guests to feel like friends, and his team lived up to that. The accommodations are among the best in Buzios, though that isn't what stayed with me most. Most of the guests were Brazilian, people who know the place, and some arrive by helicopter if need be. Foreigners like me are welcome too. If you're visiting Brazil, you could do a lot worse than staying at Ferradura Hotel. I recommend it.

The apartments were really comfortable, the food was nice, and the staff were friendly. I loved staying there.
