Katia and her team made us feel like family during our 5 nights, and they went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Breakfast each morning was abundant and divine. We stayed as two couples in neighboring Seaview rooms, both beautifully appointed, with a stunning view from our balcony. You can spend the day being active or just relax by the gorgeous pool and watch the world go by. A true gem, and we’ll definitely return.

Gringos is tucked away from the noise, so it’s calm and relaxing. The simple but elegant décor makes it a comfortable place to stay. The food and drinks were delicious, especially breakfast and the Aperols. Thanks to Davi for making us feel welcome and sharing such good suggestions for places to go and things to do.

We came here for a few quiet, relaxing days before exploring Brazil, and the hotel was just right for that. The pool area was clean and lovely, with hummingbirds around and incredible views over the bay. The views and pool were what first drew us here. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed breakfast. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in the area and want some peace and quiet.

The homemade breakfast was nice, though there wasn’t much to choose from. Our room was smaller than usual, and the double bed didn’t feel big enough for two. You can’t smoke on the room balcony or bring alcohol into the pool area. The pool is small, but has a very good panoramic view. All in all, it was just okay, and I found it overrated and overpriced.

We had a great stay in 2016, then booked again for MAR20, but the Buzios lockdown meant it was cancelled. We planned to use that credit for MAr21, when prices had risen by 50%. That was ridiculous, and booking another place with a better rating cost less. The owner never offered to refund the money.
