It was okay.

Really great.

The staff were helpful, especially Dona Terezinha, and the room cleaning was very good. The location is excellent, particularly for families with children: João Fernandes and Ossos beaches are nearby and good for kids, and Rua das Pedras is close too. When we arrived, we were sent straight to our room without an introduction to the inn or a chance to see the facilities. During the three days we stayed, the outdoor area needed attention. The grass was overgrown, the pool had lots of leaves every day, and small pool stones were coming loose and could hurt someone. Breakfast wasn’t bad, but more choices would help, such as queijo minas and a wider range of cakes. For someone who can’t eat ham or yellow cheese, the filling options were limited. Hooks or shelves in the bathroom would also be useful for clothes, towels, and other things. I’d give it a 7 overall.

The house is spacious and decorated, with lovely rooms, a sea view, and sunset from the balcony. There’s a pool and sauna too. The staff were kind and capable, and I liked the place so much that I extended my stay from two days to four. My only complaint is that towels are changed only every two nights, so sometimes they didn’t have time to dry before we needed them again. It would also help to have a mobile contact number, since the reception was sometimes unattended and we might need something.
