The rooms are a nice size, and breakfast was excellent, with lots to choose from. The staff were lovely and very helpful, especially the woman who cleaned the rooms. The location is beautiful, and it's an easy walk to Rua das Pedras. Still, if you're staying more than a day or two, there are better choices around. Our room had a really bad ant problem. I know ants aren't unusual in Brasil, but this was much worse than expected. I was covered in bites, and they were on the bed and sink too. My in-laws stayed at the hotel and didn't have the same problem. Half the lights in our room didn't work, and the internet was awful. The manager came across as standoffish and hard to approach, though the hotel staff themselves were lovely. The pool is outside the hotel, across the road. It was okay, but clearly a bit run down. We'd stayed at Byblos across the street before and had high hopes, but Byblos was much better. That was a while ago, though, so it may have changed.

We ended up here because I arrived in town a day earlier than planned and needed somewhere comfortable for my wife, daughter, and me. The staff managed to fit us in at short notice, and the stay was calm and really pleasant. The property has two lovely pools and a friendly dog who greets guests. It's on a quiet, safe street surrounded by nature, with some wildlife around as well. Having a kitchen and living area made it a great choice for my family. I'd happily return.

Our room was TUCUNS, with a balcony looking out onto greenery, no water view. It was spacious enough for two adults and simple luggage, with a comfortable bed, working air-conditioning, a good-sized bathroom with a stand-in shower, and toiletries of okay quality. There's no gym, and the small swimming pool is in the annex building. The Wi-Fi was free, fast, and worked throughout the property, and the big Smart TV had sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in several languages. The staff looked after us with a smile and made us feel pampered. Special thanks to the front office woman, who gave us a lovely welcome and excellent coffee. Breakfast is served in a charming outdoor area, with fresh fruit, pastries, and eggs made to order. There's no full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner, which may be inconvenient, and the small bar is cozy for an evening drink, though the selection is limited. Pousada Dos Buzios is a charming, peaceful little boutique hotel in Búzios, with rustic touches and modern comforts. It has a warm, intimate feel, even without the luxury amenities of a big resort. Rua das Pedras, with its nightlife, restaurants, and shops, is only a short walk away. Many beaches are walkable or a quick taxi ride, though the hill makes the walk back tough after a day at the beach or a night out.
