Pousada Enseada Azul

My stay was peaceful and quiet, and the sleep was wonderful, thanks to the bed, sheets, and pillow. Breakfast was another highlight, with plenty of variety and generous portions. The trouble was that it didn't start until 8:30, which limited our plans. During Carnival, leaving late means dealing with traffic and packed beaches. Débora gave us impeccable service and really saved the experience. The owner also treated us very well, but she traveled during our stay, and the male owner had very little social tact. I would have rated the pousada a 4 if the Carnival price had been fair. I paid three times the average, which didn't make sense for the facilities: no good view, no parking, and far from the most visited beaches. To improve the rating, I'd suggest promoting Débora to hotel manager, starting breakfast at 7, and adjusting the high-season price to match what's offered.

Pousada Jardim de Búzios was perfect for a weekday stay in January. It is far from the center, but the street is quiet and we could park right out front. We walked to the beach, which is basically just across the main road. The pool and outdoor area were lovely for relaxing and taking photos. They provide a microwave, electric kettle, and capsule coffee maker. Breakfast was nicely prepared, served in a room with pleasant music. The room was clean and had hangers and plenty of space for our things. The shower was the best I've had. They also offered a place to dry our swimwear. It was the only place I could find through APPAI.

It's a peaceful place with friendly staff, a varied breakfast, and really comfortable armchairs on the patio where you can relax. Praia Rasa is right next door. The center is quite far away, though, so getting there can be complicated without a car or some familiarity with public transport.

We stayed from 18/10 to 20/10 and had an excellent experience. We arrived before the room was ready, but they let us store our bags so we could enjoy the city. The welcome at check-in was great, and the kind, attentive service continued through the end of our stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh, homemade food and constant refills. Yndiana took wonderful care of the buffet, and her eggs deserve a special mention. They were so good I nearly applauded, though I kept my composure. Diego and Sabrina were always polite, kind, and attentive, the kind of service that deserves an 11 out of 10. I'll come back, both for the facilities and for the feeling that guests are taken seriously and well fed. ❤️
